The L Gopal story actually goes back to 1965, a good forty five years ago, when the late Laxmi Narayan Soni, a jewellery artisan and manufacturer of gold ornaments, came to Guwahati and opened shop - a small fifty square feet workspace where he hand-crafted custom-made gold and diamond jewellery - and started winning the faith and trust of his customers.
